Jaw & Tension Release is a deeply therapeutic treatment designed to ease the discomfort and tightness often caused by teeth clenching and grinding which leads to TMJ pain, neck tension, headaches and facial puffiness.
These are not random habits or isolated symptoms, they are signs that the body is in "protection mode". When the nervous system becomes stuck in "fight or flight" the jaw instinctively tightens as a sub-conscious means of keeping you safe. Over time, the protective response turns into a pattern that affects far more than just the face - in addition to the effect it can have on the teeth, it can impact sleep, breathing, posture, circulation and even your natural glow.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The treatment also includes a soothing foot reflexology, calming the nervous system and supporting deep relaxation on every level. Guided relaxation and breathing exercises are included to promote a sense of stillness and balance.
The jaw is one of the body's main storage sites for unprocessed stress and emotion, which is why the nervous system focussed head, neck, jaw and shoulder massage feels so profoundly different. Its not just about loosening tight muscles, its about creating a sense of safety within the body, allowing it to soften, let go, and release whats been held for far too long.
During the treatment, I use gentle but effective massage techniques on the mandibular muscles, along with focussed work on the head, neck and shoulders, to ease built up tension.
