the theory behind reflexology
The theory behind reflexology is that the feet are like mini maps of the body’s anatomy, so any body system can be accessed by massaging and stimulating the corresponding reflex points on the feet. During treatments, I work to gently break down any blockages or imbalances in the systems of the body, which can help as a preventative approach to promote health and wellbeing, or to target specific health issues. As the body relaxes it is encouraged to heal, bringing about a state of balance.
Reflexology can help combat the effects of stress, which is known to have a profound effect on body processes. Whilst not being a cure for specific symptoms or illnesses, it supports the body’s ability to heal itself.
